Students receive music lessons individually planned for their age, level of experience, goals and preference.
Class Scheduling:
The first half-hour interview and introductory lesson for new students $25. Lessons are available in half hour or one hour time slots and can be scheduled weekly at established times during the day. Lessons may be scheduled in accordance to a wait list availability. Studio performances, classes and other group events are scheduled by mutual convenience. These events could incur additional charges for hiring musicians or halls.
My private lesson rates are competitive with ongoing private lessons in the Inland Empire area with a professional instructor. Payment for each lesson is due at the time of the lesson. I accept checks and cash, or you may choose to pay for a minimum of 10 lessons in advance via PayPal.
Cancellation Policy + Missed Lessons
You must notify me of cancellations at least ONE DAY IN ADVANCE. Notification received by 7 PM the evening before the scheduled lesson will be considered one day's advance notice. If a lesson must be missed and you have given the required notice, we can reschedule. Payment is due, however, for missed lessons that have not been canceled within the allotted cancellation time. If a payment is not received for the missed lesson, additional lessons will not be scheduled until payment is received. In addition, you may lose the scheduled time slot. All missed lessons are charged at the full lesson rate. Personal and family emergencies, illness, local and national emergencies, extraordinary acts of nature, and other immediately related unforeseen and unpredictable events are the exceptions.

Want to sing? My goal as a teacher is to free your individual voice. I do so by teaching the foundations of healthy singing in any style, including breathing technique. I have a range of experience working with both children and adults, and I especially enjoy helping beginning singers find their unique approach to the vocal arts. I'm also familiar with many styles of singing, and will work with you to improve those skills that YOU choose. Together, we'll find a healthy way for you to reach your goals. Rates begin at $25.00 for 1/2 hour.

This historic two-day conference features musical artists of, and musics produced in, Filipino America, an imaginative and social sphere created by a history of contacts and convergences between two nations—the Philippines and U.S.— across the Pacific. Bringing together musicians and scholars of traditional and contemporary Philippine and American musical forms, this gathering will present glances of music composed and musical artists living in the Philippines, U.S., and other parts of the diaspora.
TROPICAL RENDITIONS will bring to life the material conditions and critical understandings of music-making in Filipino America by paying attention to the aesthetic choices made by both artists working in Filipino musical idioms and Filipina/o musicians working in U.S. popular music industry. The concert and symposium will feature performances by Filipino jazz, hip hop and electronica musical artists, as well as scholarly work that examines histories of cross-cultural music-making (1960s Latin soul), space and musical subculture (1990s hip hop in Los Angeles), traditional cultures (kulintang performance), and the figure of the Filipina/o in U.S. popular musical imaginaries (early 1900s military songs).
Participants include: Lakandiwa de Leon (co-producer of Beats, Rhymes, and Resistance); Theo Gonzalves (University of Hawaii, Manoa); Kuttin Kandi (legendary DJ, 5th Platoon & Anomolies) Maria Katindig-Dykes (legendary jazz vocalist); Ron Quesada (Kulintronica); Mary Talusan (Tufts University); Karen Tongson (University of Southern California); and Oliver Wang (California State University, Long Beach)
